What the numbers show

FY2025 obligations were down 72.3% from $765.2 million in FY2024, and compare with an average of $732.4 million a year over FY2015–FY2024. The highest year since FY2015 was FY2023, at $1.2 billion. In total, $7.5 billion was obligated over FY2015–FY2025.

The agency that managed the most aid for Somalia in FY2025 was the U.S. Agency for International Development ($163.2 million, 76.9% of the total). By sector, the largest was Humanitarian Assistance ($128.3 million, 60.5%). That sector includes: Protection, Assistance and Solutions; Migration Management; Disaster Readiness.
